The Louisiana Iris will captivate anyone who sees it

Also called the Black Gamecock, the Louisiana Iris is a vigorous purple flower that features gold highlights on its petals. Another perfect flower for ponds and streams, the Louisiana Iris is a recipient of the Mary Swords DeBallion Medal of the American Iris Society. It was also voted as the state's wildflower behind the state flower which is the Magnolia Blossom. The Louisiana Iris will do best on a full exposure to the sun or partial shade, which is placed on a moist soil.
