If you want to grow something different from the usual flower, you should very well try the Hard Rush. It's not a name of a film but it's an upright flowering plant that has small clusters of brownish-red flowers on its blue stems. They usually grow on wet/cold habitats and most gardeners grow them as aquatic plants. All they need is a full sun exposure, while a consistent moist soil is required to make sure they grow as you expect them to be.
