The ornamental wonder of the Checkered Lily flower

Popularly known for its flower with a checkered pattern hence its name, Checkered Lily, is a beautiful flowering plant you won't ignore. It's flowers are glooming in shades of purple (sometimes white) and has a button-shaped bulb that usually grow on grasslands and river meadows. It blooms best during spring and its color can vary from purple to red, making it a recipient of the Garden Merit award by the Royal Horticultural Society. Just watch out for pests, specifically the scarlet lily beetle as it can pose a serious threat to the Checkered Lily.
