The false indigo is a wonderful perennial plant bearing flower pods and one those that you can grow is the Grape Taffy. Producing purple pea-shaped flowers that bloom during spring, the Grape Taffy is also composed of a green foliage that remains a beauty right after the blooms fade. Although it tolerates the shade, Grape Taffy must be grown on a full sun wherein it doesn't require staking, while a well-draining soil is what they need.
