The well-known European grass called Meadow Bistort

Mostly found on mountains and grasslands, the Meadow Bistort (also called European Bistort) is a member of the buckwheat family which is composed of long-leafed stems that bear spikes of small white/purple flowers and usually blooms during summer. Perfect as groundcovers, the Meadow Bistort can also grown in masses as you give them a partial shade specially when you're in a hot area (also tolerates full sun).
