Portulaca flowers are wonderful fast-growing plants which is cultivated primarily as a groundcover. Also known as the Sun Rose, Portulaca is also considered a succulent that has flowers which comes in different colors; red, pink, orange or white. In some temperate climates, Portulaca is grown as an ornamental for beddings and also in containers. They prefer a full sunlight and sandy soil to grow on, but you should observe some control methods as they can be invasive in other areas.
