Bougainvilleas are known to be ornamental bushes that bear very bright flowers which vary from red, white, purple, violet or orange gold. The Juanita Hatten is one of its cultivars that has red paper-like bracts with very small white flowers which is surrounded by thorny stems. In some areas, they grow as bushes or trees while in other areas, they are grown as ornamental vines with proper trimming for a good shape. Juanita Hatten may thrive on either full sun or partial shade but never give them a consistently wet soil.
