We all know that the Barberry is an Asian native plant specially in Japan which has been also naturalized in other countries, and one cultivar that has been a Garden Merit Awardee is the Admiration. Also a dwarf shrub, the Admiration will ‘admire' you with its red foliage with yellow margins that last from summer to fall. Some gardeners use the Admiration barberry in hedges while some grow them on containers. They can thrive on light shade but the will have their best foliage display under a full sun on a good-draining soil.
