An amazing Black-Eyed Susan variety; the Goldstrum coneflower

Black-Eyed Susan flowers are famous for their notable sunflower-like appearance and its dark central cone, that looks real great on a floral garden. One of its wonderful variety is the Goldstrum, the popular Perennial of the Year winner (1999). A perfect summer plant, the Goldstrum has also yellow petals with dark cones at the center just like the standard perennial coneflower. They give out their best blooms on a full sun but they can definitely thrive on shaded areas.
