Juniper berries are blue-black seed cones that many find too bitter to eat (when raw) but still very edible and used to add flavor to meats and sauces. In order to pick them the right way, you should better identify the right bush which is the main source of seasoning. But before harvesting them, watch out for their sharp leaves as you may have slight rashes on your skin and it's recommended by experts to wear gloves, sleeves and pants for protection.
