Breadfruit has been used primarily as a culinary ingredient specially when it hits fruit maturity. It also has its other uses besides being a staple food. Its wood is used as timber to fortify small boats and its wood pulp is used for paper production. Also in some countries, breadfruit is used as a medicinal treatment for asthma and normalize blood pressure.
