Guernsey Lilies does put on a spectacular display in the late season garden and the Albivetta lily is one that won't disappoint. They're bulbous perennials bearing large umbels of trumpet-shaped, faintly-scented, white flowers, adorned with wavy-edged petals and sometimes a soft pink glow. Robust and easy to grow, they bloom in late summer or early fall wherein the blossoms rise atop tall, erect stalks, before the foliage of strap-shaped rich green leaves emerges. The Albivetta fits most garden settings or mixed borders, makes a fantastic accent plant in containers and excellent cut flowers.
