The Kangaroo Paw is an evergreen rhizomatous perennial with interesting flower shapes atop fans of slender, strap-shaped leaves. This plant is borne on long and leafless flowering stalks while its flowers are remarkable and usually in yellow-green, but can be in orange, red, pink or green. They enjoy a natural resistance to disease and insect attack and they're parents of many colorful hybrid cultivars. They're also terrific at providing a vibrant splash of color in sunny garden borders and an excellent choice for cut flowers.
