Kangaroo paw ferns features leaves with deep indentations when it reaches maturity. A reference to kangaroos' big feet, the fern can grow up to 6 inch long in the form of varietal leaves which are dark green and leathery with a glossy shine. They also have semi-wiry stems that hold up long, herbaceous fronds, and these fronds are not typical of those seen on common ferns and may have indentations on the edges or be smooth. They're a very adaptable plant and it is equally at ease in the home or the office.
