It’s good to have Hens and Chicks in your garden

Often called ‘Houseleek', the succulent Hens and Chicks is a mat-forming plant that produces irresistible, evergreen rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves. Considered to be a tough succulent, Hens and Chicks has a wide variety and is available in numerous colors in either at the tips of the leaves or throughout the whole plant.  Its leaves may be pointed or rounded, glossy or matte, with a waxy bloom or with downy hairs. Hens and Chicks are easily grown in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil with added grit in full sun to light shade.
