A ground creeping plants that has succulent leaves, the Hottentot-Fig ice plant is sure to add color and drama in your backyard. Its flowers are mostly pollinated by bees and some beetle species and its clumps provide shelter to snails and skinks. In other countries, Hottentot-Fig is considered as an invasive species thus posing as an ecological problem. Despite all of that, you can still grow them under a full sun exposure on a well-draining soil.
