Any plant or flower can be hounded by pests or insects and Rose of Sharon is no exception. On top of the list are Japanese beetles which are very much attracted to the flower's beauty but they leave holes thus destroying the flower's structure. Perhaps the most common disease for them are leaf spots which leads to early falling of its leaves.
