The fine-looking blooms of the Mealycup Sage

A very native plant to the Mexican region, the mealycup sage (salvia farinacea) is perennial that has violet-blue flower spikes with narrow but shiny leaves. Butterflies and hummingbirds are the main attraction to this beautiful plant. The mealycup sage thrives best in either a full or partial sun with good soil that includes compost. Cutting its spikes will eventually lead to growth of new blooms.
