Corm is underground stem to which its purpose is to serve as storage for plants to survive changes in weather conditions. Usually, they're connected with tubers and bulbs and just like them, they can also be grown. Examples of cultivated corms are colchicum, Chinese Water chestnut, taro and bananas.
