A native plant in Southeast Asia, croton has been mainly used for traditional medicine specially for treatment of constipation and lesions. The common croton plant is grown as a houseplant but if you're looking for them to grow more, then it can be also grown in your backyard. When growing them outdoors, there are appropriate measures to be considered specially zone conditions as croton's foliage die out when grown under freezing conditions.
