One perfect choice for a tropical garden would be the Shrimp Plant, but remember that this one's a PLANT, not the food. Known as an evergreen shrub, the Shrimp plant got its name via white-red flowers that resembles like the shrimp and is also a bushy plant which can grow up to 39 inches tall. And since it's a tropical-loving plant, the Shrimp Plant thrives on shaded areas and can be propagated thru its stem cuttings. Just watch out for spider mites and whiteflies as they may be a source of problem if not treated/prevented early.
