When planting a new pollinator garden, there are a few key factors to take into consideration. A lot of native pollinator plants are very adaptable, and can tolerate different levels of shade. Some, however, thrive in full sun, so you should make sure to plant accordingly. If you’re growing native plants, they should already be well-suited to the type of soil in your area. Native plants should be well adapted to the amount of rainfall typical in your climate, but for the first two years, especially during drought, they might need some help.
