Silver Squill plants are tough little plants that hails from the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, where it grows in dry savannas and stores moisture in its bulb-like stems. They are commonly sold as a houseplant but would make an excellent ground cover in warm season regions. Silver Squill features a unique teardrop-shaped bulbs that form above the ground and they look like little purple bladders and can store moisture in times of drought. Just a gentle reminder that all parts of the plant are thought to be poisonous so might as well keep them out of your children and pets.
