Get illuminated by the periwinkle called Illumination

The Illumination is a lesser periwinkle with a brightly variegated foliage and violet-blue flowers. Its leaves mature to a rich golden color before softening to a cream color. The flowers appear in mid-spring and contrast well against the foliage. Illumination continue to flower intermittently throughout summer into fall and valuable for enlivening dark areas. They thrive in full sun to part shade in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. They also have no serious pest or disease issues and can be propagated by division in spring of autumn, and semi-hardwood cuttings in summer.
