Growing and caring for the Magicien deutzia

A prestigious winner of the Gold Medal Award of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the deutzia longifolia and discolor cross named Magicien is giving out all wonders in the garden. An upright, bushy shrub that has arching stems, Magicien's main highlight are its particularly attractive sprays of star-shaped pink blooms which appear late in spring. The foliage is composed of lanceolate green leaves and turns into burgundy during fall. They are shade loves but full sun is recommended for best flowering, while the plant has no serious pest or disease problems.
