Growing aromatic trees like the New Zealand Tea Tree

Featuring small, prickly, needle-like leaves, the New Zealand Tea Tree is a perfect summer tree to grow in your garden. During that time, the tree sports showy single or double white, pink, or red blossoms and they are attractive to bees and other pollinators. Essential oil from the plant's leaves and various preparations of its bark are used for medicinal purposes, while a popular honey called ‘manuka' is produced from its nectar which is also used as an alternative medicine. This plant prefers a location with full sun, though it can tolerate a little shade and grows best on fertile, slightly acidic soil.
