One of the favorite flowers a garden-lover wants to always have is the Autumn Crocus. Why? It's because they have star-shaped blooms that pop-up from the ground during fall, while having dark green leaves that emerge in spring. Also known as the Naked Lady, these plants have moderate growth rate while its dormant bulb-like corms should be planted in the mid- to late summer for a fall bloom. The autumn crocus needs at least a half-day of full sun during its foliage phase and it's best to plant them under deciduous trees.
