The desert rose is a succulent shrub perfect as pot plants and is very low in maintenance. They have rose blooms in either white, pink or red which is also good for a floral display indoors. But even though they're grown into pots, they tend to grow long as time goes by; which is why trimming them down is best solution. In doing so, the better time to prune them is before its flowering stage and by using clean cutting tools.
