A Monstera plant tends to be leggy but they can be rehabilitated in the proper way. It is because the plant has rapid growth rate with low light requirements, thus the plant will naturally stretch. Another reason is that it may also have excess of nitrogen, fueling vegetative growth. The best time to prune Monstera plants is when they are dormant, but always make sure that you have sharp, clean pruners to avoid introducing any disease or extra damage.
