Presenting to you, the charming Cooktown Orchid

Most of the orchids that we see look very similar to each other, but the Cooktown Orchid is no ordinary one. In fact, they are very lovely plants that will give you long lasting blooms of pink, lavender or purple flowers with dark-colored lips. These flowers are borne near the apex of leafy/leafless canes, and it has fine looking red-purple stems and has egg-shaped leaves. They are considered to be variable species which stands between the most popular orchids for its ease of cultivation. Cooktown Orchids require bright, indirect light with strong ventilation, while they should be repotted immediately after flowering.
