The Japanese persimmon is a widely cultivated tree/plant of the diospyros species and if you want this in your own garden, you should try growing the Jiro variety. Its highlight would be its edible persimmon fruits in yellow/orange which produce more if planted along with another cultivar. Along with its fruits are glossy dark leaves and bell-shaped flowers that appear during spring. To ensure the tree's production and health, give them a full sun exposure with a deep soil with proper drainage.
