Some homeowners who plant emerald cedar experience the problem of its leaves turn brown. Drought is usually the source of the issue, but sometimes insects, diseases, or even dog urine can be the culprits. It's normal to see brown leaves/dead foliage on the inner part of Emerald Cedars as they are shredding foliage. However, leaves turning brown at the outer tips of branches can be a serious problem. Some of the reasons for this would be aphids, spider mites, fungal diseases and drought, which is a common cause.
