What a wonderful performer the Lance-Head Lip orchid is

The Lance-Head Lip Oncidium is a creeping epiphytic orchid boasting erect to arching inflorescences, which bears numerous fragrant, long-lasting flowers. They bloom late in spring and its large star-shaped blossoms feature pale green petals and sepals barred with dark-red or purple lines. These spidery flowers arise from an oval, compressed pseudobulb, which usually carries 2 leaves. Best growing conditions include a fine-grade, bark-based epiphytic orchid compost, and provide them with bright filtered light and good ventilation.
