Generally, cherry trees doesn't need too much fertilization as it can't guarantee more fruit. But you can use fertilizers on cherry trees to ensure its health and for foliage growth. When you've decided to fertilize your cherry tree, it's recommended that you do it during spring to prepare its foliage for the summer all the way into winter. Just take note that you shouldn't use too much fertilizer as it may affect nearby plants that aren't into fertilization.
