It's not so common when you see a purplish dark succulent but when you do, you're looking at the Zwartkop. This is one different succulent as it has dark and glossy leaves and when it grows under a full sun, it nearly turns into black further performing at its best because if its leaves are dark then it tolerates the sun well. They can also be propagated by way of seeds or its rosette cuttings.
