One look at the Hippeastrum bulbs and you'll be impressed and delighted right away. A member of the amaryllis family, the Hippeastrum is a cross-pollinating plant and can be propagated by either seed or offsetting its bulbs. Most garden lovers grow Hippeastrum in pots, usually on areas with warm climate. It also needs light watering just before the leaves and buds appear.
