Paddle Plants (sometimes called Dessert Cabbage) are succulents that will provide a very dramatic and colorful display in your backyard. Its fabulous thick jade leaves does resemble shells and does look attractive even without blooms but when it does, it bears clustered yellow flowers. Known as full sun lovers, they also thrive on shade but you need to watch out for slugs as they can damage the leaves if left unattended.
