Known as being a shade tree, the Ficus Ginseng (ficus microcarpa) is a tropical tree that has a smooth bark which is of light-gray and also known to produce prop roots. While it is a native tree in Asian countries such as China, Sri Lanka and India, it is also commonly seen along streets and public parks that has warmer weather conditions. Ficus Ginseng is also used as traditional medicine, specifically its trunk, roots and dried leaves to treat pain and fever.
