You may see them often on water gardens, streams or even in marshes and they are called Hooded Pitcher Plants. They are described as carnivorous perennial plants and native in the North American region. Their usual form grows up to 30cm while the larger form can grow up to 120cm. They also have yellow slightly-scented flowers rising from leafless stalks, and a they're of great attraction to some insects including ants.
