Of course you can have a fig tree in your backyard even though it's set up as a compact and low-maintenance garden. Fig trees have fragrant leaves and its fruit is very edible. They thrive well on hot and dry areas and also on deep soil. Other people use its sap for medical purposes, by means of removing skin allergies such as warts and repel some parasites.
