Known also as tritoma, knofflers to torch lily, the flowering perennials called Red Hot Poker is one plant you definitely shouldn't miss out on. It has narrow grass-like leaves and it produces spikes of upbright flowers in orange, that usually starts to bloom in spring. Its flowers also produce nectar which is highly attractive to bees and sunbirds. Red Hot Pokers are full sun lovers but sure can thrive on partial shade and they are ignored by deer and rabbits.
