Water lilies are considered a common aquatic plant in households and they are very beautiful bloomers. One cultivar to give your water garden some attraction is the August Koch. These water lilies have olive green leaves which are unevenly serrated, and it blooms with profuse cup-shaped flowers, wherein its petals are in blue and the sepals in lilac-purple. They produce many flowers over a long season and known to be a day-bloomer, with the blooms opening in morning and closing by sundown. They should grow best under a full sun on undisturbed water, and needs protection from the wind.
