The coastal elegance of the Beach Primrose

A familiar subshrub you see on coastal areas is the Beach Primrose, and you know that it's really that lovely. These low-growing perennials is known for its clear-yellow flowers which open in the morning, and blooms during early spring. These flowers fade into shades of orange/red when the age and are attractive to butterflies. Beach Primrose is often used in dune restoration projects and is most suitable on hot, dry areas where it gives an splash of color. They thrive under full sun and little supplemental watering is needed once they're established.
