Treating the slug problem with your Hostas

The shade-loving plants called Hosta are highly valued by gardeners everywhere, and it's such a disappointment to see them being chewed off by slugs. Simply put, these slugs feed on its leaves and leave conspicuous holes while they can also kill young seedlings by completely devouring them. Most slugs feed at night and if the slime trails are present, then it's time that you do something about it. To much of your delight, there are non-chemical solutions to reduce slug damage or you can choose slug-resistant Hostas that you can grow as there are some varieties which slugs won't even touch.
