What are these Ornamental Gourd plants?

When you hear the word ‘gourd', it's actually in reference to 2 specific plants: the Lagenaria and Cucurbita. Ornamental gourds of all types are traditional favorites for holiday crafts and decorations, particularly for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They're also used to make practical items like birdhouses and musical instruments for anytime of the year. Gourds are planted in spring, as soon as there's no danger of frost. If you leave them on the vine to dry, you may not harvest them for up to 180 days after planting.
