If you see a bright green tree with lacy panicles of creamy white flowers, then you've just encountered the Catalpa tree. They are softly rounded trees with lovely flowers and interesting pod-like fruits and has an interesting use for fishermen and is an important tree for land reclamation. Its leaves are arrow-shaped and glossy bright green while during fall, they turn a bright yellow-green before dropping as cold temperatures and chilly winds arrive. Catalpa trees are useful shade trees and are quite adaptable to different soil conditions, growing at their best when given partial shade or full sun.
