The chocolate vine is most known for being native in Asian countries such as China and Japan as its name species name ‘akebia quinata' is Japanese. As that name says, it smells like chocolate though it doesn't look like one. They can be placed on any kind of soil and they're a disease and pest free kind of shrub.
